As we say fairly often here at PFC, one of our primary aims is to foster conversations of significance within our community.
With the launch and subsequent growth of the PFC Facebook page over the last couple of months, we’ve begun to discover new and creative ways of accomplishing that aim.
So, while we remain committed to the blog / website being the central component of all that we do, we also believe in meeting people where they’re at. And, in case you haven’t noticed, Facebook is where we’re at.
I often think that Act I was about ‘proving the concept’. Act II, on the other hand, is about ‘spreading the word’.
As an example of that, we’ll be posting a set of quotes each week on Facebook. Facebook is the perfect place for people to interact with and respond to individual quotes.
We’re asking that you LIKE the quotes you agree with, SHARE the ones you really agree with, and COMMENT on the ones you don’t. After having done this only once so far, I can say that it’s (by far) one of the most effective ways of both fostering conversation and spreading the word that we’ve experienced thus far.
